Keyhole gardens

In preparation for going to South Africa, I decided to have a go at creating a keyhole garden...

First, I needed to mark out the area

Second, fence it off - I have used a fancy fence, but old stones
and sticks would work. Then I have created a central wire-mesh
holder for the manure...

Third - add some drainage

Fourth, add the cows manure that acts as a fertiliser

Fith, add compost and top soil and then you are ready to plant
The idea is that you keep adding manure, uncooked food, etc to the centre cage
which then rots down providing nutrients to the plants.

Very impressive, Stefan! It would seem that you would get lots of veggies from your super enhanced garden! Good luck!
